How to Manage Your Web Hosting Service

Your web hosting service is the foundation of your website. With Shuttle Hosting, managing your hosting is simple, fast, and beginner‑friendly. This guide walks you through the essentials so you can confidently control your site and its settings.

Accessing Your Web Hosting Panel Once your hosting plan is active, you can access your control panel at any time.

To open your panel:

  1. Log in to your Shuttle Hosting account.
  2. Go to My Services.
  3. Select your Web Hosting plan.
  4. Click Open Control Panel.
Your dashboard will load with tools for managing files, databases, domains, email, backups, and more.

Uploading Your Website FilesYou can upload your site in two ways:

Option 1: File Manager

  • Open File Manager in your control panel
  • Navigate to the public_html folder
  • Upload your website files directly

Option 2: FTP Access

  • Use the FTP details provided in your welcome email
  • Connect using an FTP client (FileZilla, WinSCP, etc.)
  • Upload your files to the public_html directory

Installing Applications (WordPress, etc.)If your plan includes one‑click installers:
  1. Open App Installer in your control panel
  2. Choose the application you want (e.g., WordPress)
  3. Click Install
  4. Follow the on‑screen setup steps
Your site will be ready in minutes.

Managing Domains & DNSIf your domain is registered with Shuttle Hosting, DNS is configured automatically.
If your domain is external:
  • Update your nameservers to the ones listed in your welcome email
  • DNS changes may take up to 24 hours to propagate
You can manage DNS records from the Domains or DNS Settings section of your panel.

Enabling SSL (HTTPS)Every web hosting plan includes a free SSL certificate.
To enable SSL:
  1. Open Security in your control panel
  2. Select SSL Certificates
  3. Click Activate
Your site will automatically switch to HTTPS once the certificate is installed.

Creating Email AccountsIf your plan includes email hosting:
  1. Go to Email Accounts
  2. Click Create New Email
  3. Set your username and password
  4. Access your inbox via Webmail or your preferred email client

Backups & RestoresShuttle Hosting provides automated backups for your safety.
To manage backups:
  • Open Backups in your control panel
  • Download backups
  • Restore files or databases with one click
